Privacy
We don't track you.
The short version. The rest of this page is the long version of the same sentence.
What this site does
rosalinddb.com is the marketing and documentation site for the open-source RosalindDB project. It serves static pages: the landing, the docs, the blog, this page. There is no account system here, no login, no dashboard, nothing to sign up for.
What it doesn't do
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no PostHog, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar, no Clarity, no anything else that fingerprints or counts you.
- No third-party trackers. No Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no ad-network beacons.
- No tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies that store an identifier for you.
- No data sold or shared. There is no visitor data collected to sell or share in the first place.
The cookies that are set
The site is hosted on Vercel and the DNS sits behind Cloudflare. Those platforms set a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to serve the page — load-balancer affinity, CDN edge routing, preview-deployment authentication. None of them identify you. They're the cookies that have to exist for the page to load.
You can verify this in your browser's devtools — Application → Cookies after a fresh visit.
Server logs
Vercel records standard request logs for the site — IP address, user-agent, requested path, response status — for a short retention window so operational issues can be debugged. These logs aren't aggregated, profiled, or used for analytics. They're the equivalent of an nginx access log.
External links
The site links out to GitHub (the source repos, the issue tracker, the license). Once you click through, GitHub's privacy practices apply, not this page's. The same goes for any external link in the docs or blog.
If this changes
If the site ever adds analytics, embeds a third-party widget, or starts setting any cookie beyond the platform-essential ones above, this page will say so before it ships — with the tool named, what it collects, and how to opt out. The intent is for this page to keep matching what the site actually does.
The RosalindDB hosted product (when it ships) lives on a different surface and has its own privacy terms at that surface. This page only covers rosalinddb.com.
